Kruszelnicki - Australia Reply-To: Volvo303@yahoogroups.com To all those worried about fire in their Volvo: No, nothing personal, just another scenario where oil pressure suddenly drops to zero, resulting in engine-fire, with interesting comments about the oil-cooler attachment and fuel-line quality: http://www.bananasinpyjamas.com/science/k2/trek/4wd/Over62.htm (Australia, Karl S. Kruszelnicki, I believe he and his C304(4x4?) have appeared on this Volvo Mailinglist before?) Immediate question of course: What is the quality/specification of the stock Volvo fuel lines? (and/or: how much more expensive are metal-braided fuel-lines than the quoted AU$7 per meter?) Willem (who now has become a bit less sure he wants to replace the stock oil/coolant unit for a pure oil/air cooler (mounted near/under the fan/coolant-radiator) Jan (those oil-hoses also metal-braided!) PS Karl, if you are on the list and reading this: How/where were your 300L fuel tanks mounted? None of that stock, is it? -- Bye, Willem-Jan Markerink The desire to understand is sometimes far less intelligent than the inability to understand [note: 'a-one' & 'en-el'!]
