All that they did was make an adaptor plate to mount the brake calipers to. They used Wilwood brake calipers and they have most of the components that you will need at their website. You can probably have most any competent shop install the parts if they work with a machine shop to make the brackets you should be all set. Wilwood makes the adpator plates for the rotors to attach to as well as the calipers. Lemme know how many people you have that are serious about these conversions. They are for stock Volvo axles w/ stock Volvo wheels. Wilwood calipers..bolt on deal. xxxxxxxxxxxx I am not sure how many people would be interested in this conversion. Hasn't this been done before by someone? I know a kit exists for the Unimog 404 axles but I thought someone had done this for the Volvo as well. Take care. Here it is: Portaltech is the name of the company. They are making there own portal axles that look very familiar to our Volvos. I spoke to the owner a long time ago and another friend on the East coast is trying to get some sets made up. They wanted $1500 for one set!!!! I told him to see about a group buy and they are talking around a grand=85.that's all I know. I have not spoken to Portaltech in a while. Here is a link to the website http://portal-tek.com/ Hope this helps. Take care. Jim Molloy Waldersee Farm http://www.northwestmogfest.com http://www.volvo4x4.com
