In my many years of taking geology students to the field in my FJ40s,
I have discovered that they quickly learn to refer to this perfectly
shaped rod as the "Toyota Tool", and recognize it as the perfect
implement to "position, lift and rotate" my Dutch Ovens in/on/out of
the campfire. I venture to suggest that my "Toyota Tools" have seen
more use in lifting Dutch Ovens out of campfires than they have
started engines world wide. Mine have clearly delivered more
enjoyment as a food serving mechanism than I could have ever expected
as en engine tool. I have even made many duplicates for Dutch Oven
cooks who happen to drive other 4WD vehicles. This may well be the
most utilitarial TLC part made for use at the campsite.
