I always assumed this was the a throttle as well? For some reason the Auto's go to a manual fuel rail while the manuals use the throttle style... Canadian spec HJ60's with 2H's with an automatic do not have a throttle. The right pedal is connected to the fuel pump. Canadian spec HJ60's with 2H's with a 5 speed do have a throttle, and therefor candidates for a BOV. Wierd. How many guys have 100,000km on their aftermarket turbo? It's not like thrust bearing failure is going to occur the first time you shift. Toyota saw fit to install CBVs on all their gassers, which typically run <8psi boost. It aids both performance and durability. Kind of a win-win. >why doesn't Safari or AXT offer this with their kits? Safari doesn't sell a kit for a 3B or 2H. AXT's kit was originally intended for a 3B-II, which doesn't have a throttle plate and they've got bigger flaws than the absence of a CBV to worry about. -- Rob Mullen RAMullen@shaw.ca North Vancouver, B.C., Canada TLC FAQ Editor Phoenix TLCA #3036, Coastal Cruisers '80 BJ40/2 '85 BJ60 '87 AW11 Why walk?...When you can CRAWL!
