The AC makes a god awful squeal and does not seem to be turning at the same rate as the belt. Is the hole unit shot or is it possible to just replace the ?clutch?. The cruise control works for short periods of time just after I start the truck. As soon as there is a hill which needs more gas the cruise control starts to accelerate but then just stops completely. After failure the cruise control won't even turn on. Any help is appreciated. If the brake fluid reservoir is low on fluid, or the sensor in the cap is defective, it will illuminate the dash BRAKE warning light (sometimes very dimly). This will dis-engage Cruise. I "think" the switch you're referring to is the brake light switch. The CC computer sees this, and cuts off CC in the event of a brake pedal push. Unless your brake lights come on and off with the CC (inversly), this is probably not the issue. This is the case in my US spec 91. At least I believe it to be true. My CC doesn't work anymore anyway. Anyone have a CC CPU lying around? JH
