My HJ60 seems to use only 1st if placed in 1,
only 2nd if placed in 2,
1st, 2nd, 3rd if placed in 3,
and 1st, 2nd, 2nd with the converter locked, 3rd, 3rd with the converter
locked (4th) if placed in 4.

I don't know if this behavior is typical since it now has 430,000km

HJ60 and FJ62 were the only Land Cruiser models sold in Canada with an
automatic. All 70s were H55f and we didn't get 80s except with LX450
badging.
