Here is what my South American friend had to say on the topic... re pajero... paja means straw and so a farmer is refered to as a pajero but... a straw can also be considered a phallic symbol so pajero is used as slang for wanker. its a case of taking a familiar word and giving it a new meaning so in esence theres still only one word. And here is the web site for the Alternative Spanish Dictionary - http://www.notam.uio.no/~hcholm/altlang/ht/Spanish.html pajero (noun, masculine) + Jerk-off; jackoff; person who masturbates A car known in the US as the Montero is sold in some European markets as the "Pajero," a name which some of my Spanish and Portuguese friends find hilariously stupid.
