Last August I noted that the dimples/holes in the pressure plate of
my Bronica EC did not cause spots on the cut down HIE 220
negatives. There are three holes about 5mm across going up the
middle of the plate. They appear to be about 1 or 1 1/2 mm deep
and are for accessing screws. Someone suggested that I should
try shooting an 18% gray card and looking for spots. I finally got
around to trying that and found no spots/reflections on the images
of the card or anywhere else on the roll.[I shot at about 15cm
distance with a 50mm Nikkor-H at f3.5 and 5.6] I have no idea why
dimples on the pressure plate of 35mm cameras cause problems
but not on 6x6s--at least mine. I rate the film at ASA 125 on a
hand held meter and shoot through a #25 red filter. The film is
presoaked and developed in HC110 dil b by the book--HC110
because I have a large supply and it works.

The dimples shouldn't show up in the Bronnie, but the holes will.

They won't show up against the grey card, only against bright
subjects. Try shooting a field of grass on a sunny day, or something
white. It won't be as apparent with the 25 filter as it will be with one
that's darker, but they'll be there.... little shadows on the prints.

Cheers!
