Send reply to: eos@avocado.pc.Helsinki.fi For those that were anxious about knowing more about the adapters, I found a test (made by CDI magazine) comparing the performances of the FD 300 2.8 L with and without the adapter. Canon says it is a 1.26x teleconverter (4 elements in 3 groups). Compatible with the following FD lenses: 200 1.8 L, 200 2.8 IF, 300 2.8 L, 300 4.0, 300 4.0 L, 400 2.8 L, 400 4.5, 500 4.5 L, 600 4.5, 800 5.6 L, 50-300 4.5 L, 85-300 4.5, 150-600 5.6 L. Performance of FD 300 2.8 L: Distortion: 0.4% pincushion f-stop quality vignetting (f-stops) 2.8 15/17 0.5 4.0 17/19 5.6 17/17 FD 300 2.8 L w/1.26x: Distortion: 0.5% pincushion 2.8 (3.5) 13/13 0.6 4.0 (5.0) 15/16 0.3 5.6 (7.0) 15/16 Quality is given edges / centre.
