Reply-To: landcruisers@birfield.com Date: Sat, 22 May 2004 18:55:44 +0200 Have been pondering about this, instead of the default factory chrome door handles, but I don't think I have ever seen a real life sample like this one: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2479035753 Anyone ever done this? De-chroming, black anodizing? Or just painting it over in black? -- Bye, Willem-Jan Markerink The desire to understand is sometimes far less intelligent than the inability to understand [note: 'a-one' & 'en-el'!] From: "Reinhart Hansen" To: Subject: RE: [LCML] Black (anodized?) door handles? Don't paint them black. It's a waste of time. The process is actually called black chrome plating. (Up until I had it done I thought chrome plating always meant it was going to be a silverly shiny type plating, but there is a black form of it.) I've had it done to several bits on my FJ62.
