Hi Mike
What came out of it last year was that ATL did not have a conversion for the TDI engine, but did do a "in shop" conversion to the P93 engine.  I haven't gone any further with them.

Hi guys, I've bought a VW AHD 2,5Tdi engine with 8000 km on it. This is the exact same as Volvo D5252T but with different turbo, dieselpump and el-box. The plan is to use the Volvo pump, turbo and el-box and get 100 Kw out of it. The engine is about 15-18cm shorter than the old DV (stock)as it is a 5 cylinder. It bolts on to the transmission. Engine mounts will have to be altered somewhat, but it looks ok. Fan will be replaced with an electric one. Oil pan will have to be a welded mix of the old one and the new. The only unsolved problem is the intercooler and the tubing for it... Right now I am thinking of making a new radiator which is longer so it is possible to fit an intercooler on the side - like on several of the Land Rovers.. Any comments? Chris. P.S. The engine isn't imported into the US in any cars here, though a company has been importing the engine for other conversions. Also glad to hear that the engine and trans mate together, ( hope that is true for both manual and auto trans). Changing to a electric fan is easy, I mounted a large one on the rear of the air tunnel, and mounted the controller under the cover above the radiator. ( pics of the fan in the DSD folder). What about purchasing an oil pan from ATL? Or do they want a fortune for it? I was wondering how these engines perform without the innercooler. Definitely keep us posted on your progress....
