It's up for sale :-( And, it's not just the engine. Transmission and Transfer are still attached. This engine was pulled from a 1979 FJ55 that was used by a Toyota dealer as a plow truck. It was used only to plow the dealer lot and was never titled or licensed. Due to the heavy use of salt in the Chicago area, this poor pig slowly rusted away. When the body and frame were no longer safe, the dealer sold the truck to a friend of mine. He intended to completely restore it, but upon careful examination, it was beyond hope. It turned out to be parts a gold mine. Although utterly rotted, the interior was in showroom condition. He was able to mine the pig for oodles of great stuff. I was lucky enough to obtain the drive train. When parked for the last time, the truck had less than 1000 miles on it. That is correct. UNDER ONE THOUSAND. The only flaw on the engine is the oil pan. It has the standard leaky rusted bottom seam. 20 years of plowing, but it never left the dealer lot. Do the math. Less than 50 miles per year on the lot. The truck ran as sweet as you can imagine when it was finally parted out about 2 years ago. I have far too many projects and far too little time to do anything with this set up. I grieves me to sell it, but sell it I must. I need the room and I need the money. Engine, Transmission, Transfer Case - $1500 obo.
