It has more power (not massive but noticeable) and has better drive ability characteristics. (Ok it's the added power really!) Prior to doing this I dug around for someone who has done it and found lots of "general" posts but none saying its done and works. Well its done and it works! I did not have time (I'm too busy working on my 40 before Moab!) to do the swap so W' and James at Over the Hill 4x4 in Portland OR, did all the work on it for me. They did a great job and you really can't see any physical difference except for the 2.5" added height to the motor under the hood. (touches the hood liner) The weight of the block is also noticeable on the front suspension. I will weigh the 3F short block but I am guessing at least 100lbs dif. between the two.
