Also when the boss got his spare wheel carrier made by TJM, they measured it off their V8 hundred series and it didn't fit, the V8 5 stud is different from the other 100 series 5 stud pattern by about 5mm, hows that for stupidity? There is enough mis-information above to get someone into some serious poo. The 6 stud pattern wheels are not necessarily interchangeable between Nissan and Toyota. In many cases, the different offsets cause wheels to foul steering and brake parts. Also, the newer Nissans have a bigger hub, and many Land Cruiser wheels simply will not fit over it. As for there being 5mm difference in V8 and "other" 100 series pattern....is there? As far as I am aware, the V8, turbo diesel, and Lexus 100 series all use the same offset and bolt pattern wheels. Maybe "the boss" saw some parallax (or paralytic) error? What about 90-series/Prado btw....they too started off with 5-stud, right? And if 105 wheels were to fit 100, then they would stick well outside the body line. I seem to remember reporting this to the list several years ago? I'm not so sure about the pattern (never measured it). Kaymar do list different carriers for 100 and 105, but I don't know if this is because of offset or bolt pattern differences. Unless someone comes up with a definitive reply re pattern before Tuesday (holiday in Oz on Monday) I will ring Kaymar and find out. > > > xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx > > > FROM: "Rainbow Warrior" > > > SUBJECT: Re: Which one Landcruiser or Patrol > > > > > 5mm, hows that for stupidity? > > > > Total and utter stupidity. No....I think they have always been 6 stud. It is purely the offset that is different. When the new IFS TD came out for the 4x4 show (Oct.2000), Toyota in their wisdom had replaced the (shitty looking IMO) standard steel wheels and fitted a set of the RFS alloys to spruce it up (moral - they fitted). My chin took a chunk out of the concrete floor when I saw this new TD Cruiser on the stand in the distance, complete with RFS alloy wheels, assuming it had RFS, and only one month after purchasing my 105 with aftermarket turbo because I didn't want IFS and the TD's were supposed to be coming with IFS! Upon closer inspection, it did have IFS, the wheels were hanging way out of the guards, and little notes were stuck in the windows "wheels for display only".....
